Getting Started
What is My Crypto Guide? Getting Started
My Crypto Guide is an education site that explains crypto in plain English—no jargon, no hype. Work through our
Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced courses, then explore hands-on tools in the Crypto Lab. We are not a broker and we do not hold customer funds.
Do I need a free account to use the site? Getting Started
You can read many articles without an account, but creating a free account lets you access courses, save progress, and unlock resources like checklists and tools. Look for the Sign Up / Login link in the header.
Where should a total beginner start? Getting Started
Start with the Beginner Course. It covers what cryptocurrencies are, how exchanges work, wallets, fees, and simple risk management. From there, the Intermediate course introduces smart contracts and on-chain activity, while the Advanced course dives into deeper strategies and analysis.
Is this financial advice? Getting Started
No. Everything on My Crypto Guide is for
education only. Crypto is volatile and involves risk. Always do your own research and consider speaking with a licensed professional before investing. See
Legal & Disclaimers.

How do I create a free account and save course progress? Account

I didn’t receive my confirmation or reset email. What should I do? Account
Check spam and “Promotions” folders. If you still don’t see it after a few minutes, search your inbox for
info@mycryptoguide.co. You can also resend the email from the login page. Still stuck?

Can I change my email or delete my account? Account
Yes. Visit your profile settings to update your email. To delete your account and associated data, please
contact support and we’ll action it promptly (subject to legal retention requirements).
Courses & Learning
Do I need to take the courses in order? Courses
It’s best to go Beginner → Intermediate → Advanced. Each course builds on the last. You can revisit lessons any time and your progress remains saved.
Is the Crypto Security Course included? Courses
The
Crypto Security Course is a
paid add-on that focuses on practical protection (seed phrases, hardware wallets, backups, phishing defense). You’ll find it on the
Courses page.
How long do the courses take? Courses
Most learners complete the Beginner course in a few hours. Intermediate and Advanced can take longer depending on how deep you go. Take your time—there’s no deadline.
Do I get a certificate? Courses
We provide completion badges you can share, and we’re working on printable certificates for select courses.
Crypto Basics
What’s a crypto wallet, and do I need one to learn? Crypto Basics
A wallet is a tool that manages your private keys and lets you send/receive crypto. You don’t need a wallet to study our courses, but you’ll need one to hold assets yourself. We explain software and hardware wallets and how to choose.
What’s the difference between an exchange and a DEX? Crypto Basics
Centralized exchanges are companies that match buyers and sellers. Decentralized exchanges (DEXs) are apps on a blockchain using smart contracts. DEXs let you swap from your own wallet. Each has pros and cons—fees, custody, support, and control.
Why do I pay “network fees” or “gas”? Crypto Basics
Network fees pay the blockchain to include your transaction. They vary by network demand and complexity. Our lessons show how to estimate and avoid overpaying.
Safety & Security
What is a seed phrase and why is it critical? Security
Your seed phrase is the master key to your wallet. Anyone with it can move your funds. Never type it into a website or share it with anyone, including “support” staff. Store it offline and back it up securely.
Do I need a hardware wallet? Security
For meaningful amounts, a hardware wallet greatly reduces risk by keeping private keys offline. Buy only from the manufacturer.
How do I avoid phishing and scams? Security
Bookmark official sites, double-check URLs, enable 2FA (authenticator app), and slow down when signing transactions. If something feels rushed or too good to be true, it probably is.
Crypto Security Tip: Practice on small amounts first. Then set up a written recovery plan that includes where backups live, who can access them, and what to do if a device is lost.
Payments, Pricing & Refunds
What does My Crypto Guide cost? Payments
Many resources are free with an account. Some premium content—like the Crypto Security Course—is paid. See current pricing on the
Courses page.
Do you offer refunds? Payments
Yes—if a paid course clearly isn’t right for you, contact us within 14 days and we’ll help. We can’t refund once a downloadable item has been fully accessed or where local consumer laws limit refunds.
Which payment methods do you accept? Payments
Major cards and selected local methods are supported via our payment provider. We don’t currently accept on-chain crypto payments for courses.
Crypto Lab & Media Hub
What is the Crypto Lab? Lab & Hub
The Crypto Lab is a collection of practical tools—calculators, checklists, memory games, and more—that help you apply what you learn. Some tools require a free account to save progress.
What is the Media Hub? Lab & Hub
The Media Hub curates news and educational content so you can scan the crypto landscape without doom-scrolling. Use search and filters to find what matters quickly.
